About Us
Leech Printing was founded as the Leech Letter Company by Cecil Leech in 1927. In the midst of the depression, Cecil had found jobs hard to come by, so he purchased his own printing press and began writing and producing sales letters for local merchants.
The Leech Letter Company survived the depression and the Second World War. Cecil's sons Don and Bud joined the business in the late 1950s, and Leech Printing, as the company came to be known, soon grew to become the region's largest commercial printer.
In the early 1990s the company became a third-generation family business, with Don's sons Michael and David taking over more of the company, adhering to the same principles of customer satisfaction and pride in a job well done that Cecil began with over eighty years before. These traditional business values are combined with leading-edge print technology and a keen understanding of coming trends in the field of communications.
In 2000, Michael purchased the company and became Owner and President. Since then, a strategic acquisition in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and many equipment upgrades including a new 10-colour printing press have broadened Leech Printing's geographic coverage and product range to serve the requirements of a growing and diverse customer base. Continuous improvement and upgrades, as well as FSC certification, have positioned the company as a strong regional and national pioneer in Graphic Communications.
While the company has maintained its strong roots in the community of Brandon and its focus on meeting the needs of its small business clients, Leech Printing now ships its materials to clients both big and small all across North America.
